You know those tolls we have to pay for to access the highway?

They eat up a lot of your transport budget.

I know a lot of people who deliberately choose to take toll-free routes. It seems sensible, but then those roads take you longer to reach wherever you want to reach.

For my daily work commute, I have been trying this toll-free routes. Actually, I was just trying it when I was going back home since I don’t mind if I am ‘late’ to my apartment, although these days I am working later than usual. #sigh

My phone beeps, I need to pop-up my toll account. I recharge. Then, I have to recharge again. Where is all my money going?

Today, I was very tired and coming back from work late, so I decided to take the toll route. I mean, I just wanted to go home.

Nonetheless, I got lost in the way, and still arrived home later than I thought I would. #WhatAWaste

I don’t know about you, but I always feel that time is one of my very expensive currencies. Sure, I listen to audible on the way and make a few phone calls, but the question is…

Will I adopt the toll-free route in my daily commute and save a good amount of money? Or will I keep paying daily tolls?

I don’t know. It’s very hard to make decisions when I am tired, but the sensible decision is to actually know the toll-free route by heart and take it both in the morning on the way to work and in the evening on my way back home.
