Facebook polls are not for free. I remember the days where this kind of stuff was free, promoting people to continue using Facebook and increase its popularity, which reminds me.

About four years ago, I joined a community called passion to profit. Back then, going to community or what they called it “club” meetings was for free. You pay a contribution to rent the place we are meeting in. That’s it.

Nowadays, it’s not for free anymore. You need to subscribe to join a group, and only then you can go to those meetings.

I guess that’s why I am getting a free 6 month subscription in Apple music. I am an Anghami subscriber since I like both English and Arabic music. I am content and a happy customer for Anghami too, but it seems like Apple wanted to drag me to its consumer base.

This is a reflection of one behavioral bias, the endowment effect. It basically says that we place more value on the things that we already own rather than what we don’t. For example, if you are trying to sell a mug, you would expect to let’s say get 20 bucks for it. However, if someone asked you how much you would pay for the same exact mug, your answer would be different. You might say 10 bucks or even 5 bucks.
